The Counselor in Training program (CIT) is a hands-on leadership program designed for high school students looking to gain professional experiences through working with young children and adults. The CIT’s are under the mentorship of a director and lead counselor as they progress through the program. CIT’s will be able to experience, first-hand, the roles and responsibilities of acting as a counselor for campers.
The CIT program encompasses education sessions, where participants learn about leadership and youth-facing mentoring skills, as well as teambuilding, and practical application time working embedded in groups of campers.
CIT candidates must be at least 13 years old, and entering Grade 9 or higher in the fall.
CIT2 candidates must apply through the Director- you can reach us at email@example.com. Candidates will have completed CIT 1, or have a demonstrable history of leadership experience. CIT2 Candidates must be entering Grade 10 in the fall.
