Pottery Crash Course

Grades: 6-9

Join St. John’s Prep’s Ceramics teacher, Mr. McAuliffe to learn how to use the wheel to create functional pottery that you will be able to take home.  This 8 day course will teach students all of the skills professional artists use to turn raw clay into functional art. Students will spend time throwing, trimming, decorating, and glazing their own pieces.  Mr. McAuliffe’s ceramics classes are in high demand during the school year, so don’t delay in registering for this amazing opportunity!

This is a two week program that meets on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9am to 12pm; there is no class on Fridays.  Mr. McAuliffe will fire all the students’ work and we will contact you to confirm pick-up dates/times.  Please have students wear clothes that may get stained – working with clay can be a messy endeavor!
