For students entering Grades 6- 9

Outdoor Adventures is a unique tripping program for kids who can’t get enough of action-packed outdoor adventure activities!  Campers take daily excursions to some of the best action-packed destinations in our local area.  One day, campers could be learning to rock climb, the next they could be surfing at a local beach.  

Wherever we go instruction and equipment will be provided by trained specialists, alongside our own dedicated Outdoor Adventure counselors.  Please note: each organization we work with may require caregivers to sign a waiver for their child to participate.  This information will be provided to families closer to the week of programming. 

Outdoor Adventures is a 5-day, full-day (9am – 4pm) camp, open to boys and girls entering grades 6 through 9.  Each day Adventurers will leave campus in the morning and will not return until after 3pm each day; camp lunch is not an option for this camp and all Adventurers will be required to come to camp prepared for a full day away from campus.  Late arrivals and early pickups are not available.  Each day we will use a SJP van, driven by our trained and certified camp counselors to transport campers to and from their destinations.

Week 3: Monday June 26 – Friday June 30, 2023

• Form, Storm, and Norm on a Local Hike
• High Ropes Course at Boundless Adventures
• Kayaking Trip led by Plum Island Kayaks
• Whale Watching 
• Local Beach trip

Week 6: Monday July 17 – Friday July 21, 2023

• Form, Storm, and Norm on a Local Hike
• Earthworks Survival School- shelter building, fire building, and basic tool building (To accommodate this trip Adventurers will meet at 8am and not return to campus until 5pm.  There will be no bus transportation to and from St. John’s Prep on this day.  To accommodate siblings we will offer free before and after care to ensure families are not making multiple trips to camp)
• Canoeing on Ipswich River
• Rock Climbing at Metrorock
• Local Beach Trip

Week 8: Monday July 31 – Friday August 4, 2023

• Form, Storm, and Norm on a Local Hike
• Surfing with Cape Ann SUP
• Kayaking Trip led by Plum Island Kayaks
• High Ropes Course at Boundless Adventures
• Local Beach Trip
