SUMMER PROGRAMS
Junior Coach and Counselor in Training 2 (COED)

Eagles Sports Camps were created for camper athletes who love camp, but want to focus solely on more active, runaround sports and games.  Eagles Sports Camps are built for camper athletes ages 6-15, and take the best aspects of friendly competition and weave it into an experience that gives your camper athlete a week to remember.  Our days are packed with fun, engaging activities that will give your camper athlete the confidence in developing new skills as well as a deeper love of everything athletic!

We use state of the art facilities at St. John’s Prep to make every camper feel as though they were a SJP Eagle!  Our days start with group warm ups and stretching to prepare for the more active games, and sport-specific skills and drills.  Camper athletes can cool off in the pool playing fun water-based games, play basketball, futsal or dodgeball in our giant air conditioned Field House, or toss a football or soccer ball on the famous SJP turf fields.

Junior Coach 1 and Counselor in Training 2

The Junior Coach program is a hands-on leadership program designed for high school students looking to gain valuable professional experience working with children in an athletic environment, and allow teens to be positive role models for younger campers.  Junior Coaches assist MultiSports camp counselors with warm ups, games, skills and drills, and actively lead games and activities with camper athletes.  Junior Coaches should be athletes at a high school level and ready to pass on their knowledge and experience to younger athletes.

The Junior Coach program has built in education sessions, where participants learn about leadership and youth-facing mentoring skills, as well as team building, and practical application time working embedded in a group of campers.  Junior Coaches may also get involved in the Eagles Sports Clinics, under the guidance of St. John’s Prep coaches.  Junior Coaches are under the mentorship of the CIT Director and lead MultiSports counselors who provide insightful feedback to further the Junior Coach’s job and career interests.

Junior Coach 1 candidates must be at least 15 years old, and entering grade 9 or higher in fall 2023.

Counselor in Training 2 candidates must apply via our email – eaglesedge@stjohsnprep.org.  Candidates must have taken part in our Junior Coach 1 program, or be able to show a history of similar leadership experience.  Counselor in Training 2 candidates must be entering grade 10 in fall 2023.
