For campers entering Grades 6-8.

Exploration Camps are designed to give our campers a chance to lean in and start to deep dive into topics, while still maintaining a camp-like feel.  Campers will spend time in our computer lab, equipped with state of the art air filtration systems, but also have time outside- either in problem solving circles, or in “camp breaks” where they will have camp adventures- swim, play games, and picnic lunch.  Come experience the best that camp can offer! 

Python is a great way to start your journey in the world of text based coding. It’s a great first language because it’s concise, easy to read and very versatile. Whatever you want to do, you can do it in Python. Our Python course covers everything you need to know to master the language – from declaring variables to creating tuples. If your goal is to develop problem solving skills, learn a cool technology or develop projects for college applications, Python is a great place to start!

Camp Outcomes: At the end of the week, each camper will have an understanding of the Python programming language and have a completed game with a variety of graphics and scripts. Their programming skills will increase and they will have the resources to continue with any coding or tech passion!
