Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coordinator
Ana is the Associate Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at St. Johns Preparatory in Danvers, MA. Her responsibility is to assist with the development, implementation, and overseeing of all strength and conditioning programs for students, faculty and staff.
Prior to SJP, she worked as the Head Strength Coach and Site Director at Innercity Weightlifting, a non-profit organization that works to reduce youth violence by connecting proven-risk young people with new networks and opportunities in and beyond personal and group training.
After graduating from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Kinesiology degree and captain of the Women’s Rowing Team, she got her start at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (MBSC) in Woburn, MA. The growth-focused environment at MBSC motivated Ana in a way she had never experienced. After a few short years, she went on to earn her Masters’ in Coaching Education at Boston University as she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the varsity weight room.
Currently, in addition to her time at SJP, she works with O2X: Human Performance Education Program, as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist; working with tactical athletes to maximize human performance through a curriculum that provides concrete ways to make incremental changes that lead to sustainable improvements.
Ana enjoys using strength and conditioning as her platform to work with others to develop life skills. She specializes in getting athletes to set goals that focus on the process of training rather than only on the outcome. She enjoys helping athletes increase and improve the likelihood that they reach their true athletic potential.
