To offer a high-end academic development program that allows students to better understand and learn subject material; to help students achieve their personal academic goals by preparing them for upcoming classes/programs, and to help students become independent learners.

The summer is a great time for kids to relax and unwind, but sometimes the stability and routine that school provides is lost.  Summer tutoring at EAGLES/EDGE allows students to better understand and learn subject material, helps  students achieve their personal academic goals by preparing them for the upcoming school year, and to help students to increasingly become independent learners.
To help provide a balance of fun and academic learning EAGLES/EDGE is teaming up two amazing, experienced tutors to provide on site or remote instruction catered to your child.  Sessions are 45 minutes long, and take place in a 1-1 format on campus, or can be arranged to be conducted via Zoom.  Tutors will create an individualized plan for each student based on needs identified by each family.  Students will be picked up from the camp program by the tutor, and instruction will take place in a quiet corner of campus.  Campers will be returned to the program upon completion of the tutoring session.

Communication
To enable communication between families and our tutors, we will create a shared Google Doc which will document the work that takes place each session.  This Google Doc can be saved for your own records, or sent to your child’s school to provide documentation of work completed whilst away from school.

Registration
Families can register for one to four sessions per week that their child attends one of our EAGLES/EDGE programs (Tuesday-Friday).  Jodi/Victoria will create a schedule of students based on total registrations, but we will be sure to communicate finalized schedules with families in advance.   This will mean that your child misses certain camp activities, but we guarantee kids will never lose access to the pool.

To register your child for tutoring, please select the Summer Tutoring Session Option for each week your child is registered for camp.  You can select the number of sessions needed per week.  If you have any questions about this additional service, please contact eaglesedgeprograms@stjohnsprep.org.
