Prep for the Prep
Your prep journey starts here!
High school week one: Cracking the code
Monday July 10 - Friday July 14, 2023
8:30am - 2:30pm
$500 per week
The week will start with an on-campus experience with Freshman Life Coordinator, Ms. Francisco, and some of the student support faculty. Students will tour the campus, becoming familiar with the many buildings they will move between in the school year.
Once community formation has started, the boys will head off campus to take part in a variety of fun activities that are designed to get the group working together:
- Helix Esports at Patriot Place - use esports to work on problem solving and strategy skill development.
- Boundless Adventures - tackle the adventure ropes courses that will foster teamwork, communication and camaraderie.
-
- Boda Borg - work together in smaller groups to complete a series of quests/challenges against the clock.
The final day will be spent together, working on a service project - a crucial component of Xaverian education and life at St. John's Prep. Attendance at this program is completely optional, but the opportunities presented each day will offer a fantastic springboard for students attending St. John's in the fall - we hope to see as many new faces on campus in July as possible!
Registration is limited, so we encourage families to sign up as early as possible. We cannot guarantee that every day will be as advertised and may have to change the schedule based upon weather and other circumstances out of our control.
Students should wear comfortable clothing, closed toed shoes and bring snacks, a nut-free lunch and a water bottle. We recommend bringing a backpack each day to carry around campus/field trips.
No transportation, Extended Day, or Lunch options available.
These two weeks are stand-alone programs and do not require participation in both.
